Small is a short animated film I made the second semester of my Sophomore year in College. This short film explores themes associated with what it means to be a young woman in an environment that proves itself to be uncomfortable. It blurs the line between what is safe, not safe and discusses the traditional roles of people interacting in a social setting. Relying mainly on movement, color and the space that the main character is circling through, Small illustrates the dichotomy of feeling small in a landscape and in an enclosed space. The settings depicted through this film are meant to act as a microcosmic representation of the outside world.
